Our History

Roger Heller, the principal broker of the “HELLER GROUP” began his brokerage career in March of 1963. He has continually since that time specialized in the sales, exchanging, and management of land, with an emphasis on farmland, having been a principal owner in two land brokerage firms during that period.

Roger Heller, holds the Accredited Farm and Land Broker title from the REALTORS® LAND INSTITUTE of the National Association of REALTORS®.  That Institute named Heller the Land REALTOR® of American in 2001. Heller has a real estate broker’s license in Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota.

In July of 1971, Patricia Bryan Keltgen was hired by Roger Heller and has served since in secretarial/accounting and administrative functions and on several occasions held corporate officer positions. Ms. Keltgen has always worked closely with Mr. Heller in farm brokerage services and in 2009 became licensed as a Minnesota real estate agent. Ms. Keltgen is now a Real Estate Agent and a member of the REALTOR® Land Institute, thereby becoming an integral member of the HELLER GROUP.

Since 1975, Roger Heller has been continually involved in a Minnesota cash crop farming operation, which he feels is extremely beneficial in helping him understand the needs of farm-land owners and buyers.

Heller added public auctions to the marketing methods offered in 1979 and was one of the pioneers in the utilization of computer software to conduct large multiple parcel land auctions.
